Members of The Sanctuary are preparing for the start of a second season of their version of Survivor after a wrap-up of Season One at Russell Park in Jefferson Wednesday evening.
Unlike the television show, the teams grew as the season progressed. Twenty-two youngsters started the season in early July and 48 finished. “Competitors” learned life lessons as they threw eggs and water balloons and plenty of fun with water, slime, and even toothpaste. “Bible Council” at the end of each evening related the lessons to Scripture.
Volunteers Michelle and Jay Price coordinated the program. Season Two, Survivors: Fruit, Nuts and Flakes begins this Wednesday at Russell Park and will run for nine weeks. The program runs from 6 to 8 pm. There is no charge and participants have a simple meal every week.
